SCENIC TOURS  OPTION B 9 nights/10 days

Day one

Arrival in Colombo, spend the evening in Negombo, admire a beautiful sunset by the sea; spend the night in Negombo

Day two

Departure to Sigiriya, on the way stop in Mihintale and visit one of the cradles of Buddhism, part of Anuradhapura complex. Take time to admire the view from the top of the rock. Late afternoon arrival in Sigiriya and spend the night.

Day Three

Visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress early morning. Admire at leisure the beautiful gardens, the amazing wall paintings, and finally conquer the top and walk through the remainders of the castle of King Kashiopa; visit Ritigala in the afternoon, admire the surroundings and listen to the many sounds of nature; we spend the night in Habaana.

Day four

Departure to Nuwara Eliya – city tour, visit the Botanical Garden, waterfalls, tea factory/plantation; we spend the night

Day five

Departure to Ella – visit the Nine Arch Bridge, spend the night

Day six

Early morning visit Little Adam’s Peak, and catch an amazing view from the top of the rock; departure to Tangalle where we spend the night

Day seven

Morning safari in Bundala National Park, bird watching and animal spotting; afternoon water rafting in the lagoon; spend the night.

Day eight        

Free time on the beach

Day nine        

Departure to Galle – visit the fort, the museum, etc; spend the night

Day ten

Departure to Colombo airport (it may vary depending on your flight)

Day one

Arrival in Colombo, departure to Kandy

Day two

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic – symbol of high spirituality and power; continue with a visit to a wood carving shop, the Bahirawakanda temple; in the evening attend the Kandyain cultural dance; spend the night

Day Three

Departure to Habarana – on the way visit a spice garden, and Dambulla rock Temple; be amazed at its cave paintings, some of the oldest in Sri Lanka. Spend the night in Habarana.

Day four

Departure to Anuradhapura – the ancient capital of the country, home to the highest stupa and the oldest tree in the world, visit the complex. On the way back, visit Mihintale, part of the same complex. Night in Habarana

Day five

Visit Sigiriya fortress early morning; visit Polonnaruwa – the second capital of Sri Lanka – in the afternoon; spend the night in Habarana.

Day six

Early morning departure to Trincomalee – visit the Hindu temple Koneshwaram Kovil, Girihadu Saya Buddhist Temple, take a peek at the Kanniya hot springs and relax on the beach

Day seven

Departure to Colombo – afternoon visit to the Gangaramaya Temple and/or Kalaniya Temple, Independence Square, Dutch Hospital, etc

Day eight
